PICKS FOR THE NEXT MARKET DAY

REASONS BEHIND THE PICKS

  • Two points need to be made:
  • First of all, any newspaper that judges Cisco systems based on its Price - Earnings (P-E) ratio relative to its counterparts needs to learn about the new economy a little better. Cisco might have counterparts, but has no competitor in its core businesses, which are new and growing.
  • Secondly, Cisco Systems keeps anticipating the future direction of the new economy and makes aggressive investments in the sector, which it ends up dominating. Normally, Cisco takes over a company, but maintains the original team to keep the creativity spirit intact. Cisco rather ends up with a team dedicated to keeping the company number one in their business sector, which raises the company's (and their) share prices. This
