  • Federated Department Stores lost 3.77% after stating that its same-store sales for the week ending Saturday was less than its expectations.

  • Digital River lost 52.06% after lowering its fiscal Q1 outlook due to poor demand for e-commerce software.

  • Adelphia Communications lost 11.95% today after announcing that it has asked the SEC for more time before filing its annual report.

  • Epiphany lost 6.61% after announcing that a major customer for its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is re-evaluating its needs for CRM - Epiphany thinks this might lead to lower earnings and revenue.

  • Sierra Pacific Resources lost 39.63% after Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs downgraded it.

  • Sportsman's Guide gained 18.60% after raising its fiscal Q1 outlook.

  • Aksys Ltd gained 92.46% after the FDA approved its "Personal Hemodialysis System" for home kidney dialysis.

  • Adelphia Communications lost 10.78% after Salomon Smith Barney cut its price target on the stock as its off-balance sheet and debt concerns continue.

  • Nvidia lost 2.51% despite denying a Taiwanese business newspaper report that it is having problems with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, and it might cause Nvidia to miss its outlook. Nvidia reiterated its outlook again today. Taiwan Semiconductor gained.

  • Juniper Networks gained 5.87% today as analysts expected its fiscal Q1 earnings warning late yesterday. Sonus Networks, which also warned about its fiscal Q1 late yesterday, lost 7.09%.

  • 3M lost 1.67% after CS First Boston initiated coverage of it with a "hold" recommendation.
